Perinatal Mental Health
and Support

Preconception, pregnancy and postpartum periods are, under the easiest of circumstances, times full of feelings. When you add fertility complications, queer family planning, single parenthood, racism and discrimination within the medical industrial complex, miscarriages, relational upheaval, high risk medical conditions, traumatic birth experiences or postpartum depression, anxiety or OCD it can simply feel like too much to possibly manage. This is an extremely tender time that can bring up grief, shattered fantasies, our own unresolved childhood traumas, body dysmorphia and anxiety. I would love to support you - and your family - through this threshold experience.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR is a specific therapeutic modality that works to untangle and turn down the volume on past traumatic events. Whether you’ve experienced early childhood abuse/neglect or more subtle relational misattunements and stressors, EMDR can support reducing the impact of those events on your everyday life. Even subtle traumas can inform how we think about ourselves and how we perceive, or make meaning of, the behaviors of those around us. Especially those with whom we are in close relationships. Those perceptions often lead to stories (often negative and self-defeating stories) and, boy oh boy, are we good at finding evidence that supports these stories. Let’s work together to write a new story, set a new path and help you grow into the fullest version of yourself.

Shifting Relationships and
Shifting Lives

Whether you are new to navigating parenthood, exploring ethical non-monogamy, coming into your queer identity or some combination of them all, I’d love to support your journey. Sometimes we find ourselves without many role-models (or perhaps trying to shift away from those role-models we do have) for major life transitions and identity shifts. This can feel overwhelming and isolating. I love the opportunity to support folks through big changes where the course forward may not feel entirely clear. I am inclusive and affirming of all sexual, relationship, and gender expressions and identities. I would love to support your exploration and blossoming process.
